ABOUT US

Thank you so much for visiting The Embroidery Emporium! My name is Olivia and I am a university student studying at the University of Birmingham. Like many other students, I have struggled to find ways to fill my time during lockdown, and so I have decided to take up embroidery. I have grown to absolutely love embroidery - I find it extremely relaxing and a great way to stay mindful, not to mention it is an amazing creative outlet! Another great thing about embroidery is the fact that the pieces I create are completely bespoke designs, and also I am able to upcycle old pieces that I have become bored of (and create new looks without supporting the fast fashion industry).

My aim for this business is to provide an alternative to the big fast fashion brands that are so tempting for many of us. I want to remain as ethical and sustainable as possible, whilst keeping my prices low for my customers, as well. I strongly believe that a big part of the fight against the fast fashion industry lies within consumer behaviour, and the longing to constantly update our wadrobes, and for this reason I am excited to announce that I will also be offering a customisation service where you are able to send me your items to embroider!
